NBCR works with partners to bring in new technologies or disseminate our tools.

NCMIR is another NCRR resource that develops state-of-the-art 3D imaging and analysis technologies to help biomedical researchers understand biological structure and function relationships in cells and tissues in the dimensional range between 1nm and 100um. NBCR and NCMIR bring complementary approaches to mesoscale modeling, and to the development of TxBR, bringing it to production at NCMIR

PRAGMA, the Pacific Rim Application and Grid Middleware Assembly, is an NSF funded award to develop cyberinfrastructure technology driven by application needs and to sustained collaborations with researchers around the Pacific Rim. There has been interest in PRAGMA partners in the Computer Aided Drug Discovery pipeline, both in terms of developing additional functionality, testing the software, and providing training about CADD.

PRIME, the Pacific Rim Experiences for Undergraduates, is a program that provides research internships and immersive cultural experiences for undergraduate students at PRAGMA sites. Several PRIME students have worked on CADD pipeline activities, heart modeling using Continuity, and on working with an NBCR collaborative project at imaging at the mesoscale of the heart cell.

Calit2, the California Institute for Telecommunication and Information Technology, “represents a new mechanism to address large-scale societal issues by bringing together multidisciplinary teams of the best minds.” Calit2 is a conduit to NBCR for ideas, expertise and technology. NBCR’s administration is housed in Calit2.

CRBS, Center for Research in Biological Systems, exists to provide human resources, high technology equipment, and administrative services to scientists researching cell structure and function relationships in central nervous system processes, cardiovascular networking, and muscular contraction through multiple scales and modalities. NBCR is administered by CRBS.

BBDTC, Biomedical Big Data Training Collaborative, is funded by NIH and was established "to cultivate a high-quality, well-informed, freely accessible knowledge and data community effort around training and education in biomedical big data research." The curriculum is customizable for all levels of scientists. BBDTC contains training, lectures, and hands-on application tools to further assist teachers in an online learning environment. 

WorDS, Workflows for Data Science Center of Excellence, "support data analysis projects, data scientists and software engineers in their computational practices involving process management." WorDs is housed in the San Diego Supercomputer Center and is a hub for development of workflow services.
